nail art- "sweet roses"

Did it myself
this is the simplest nail art, just depends on what is the result that you want and choose the colour and stickers accordingly.

Mine is sweet,girly nail art~
  1. choose a nice base colour, make sure it is mathced with the stickers going to stick on
  2. apply second coat of base colour as needed.
  3. apply stickers on nails as you like when the base colour is half dry
  4. top coat

review : the DIY mask sheet frm Yokoso Japan

Bought the sheet masks from Yokoso Japan, in 1u.

It was cheap, RM9.90 for 100pcs included another eyes sheets.

However, After trying the Daiso's and this, I just think that this is cheap, nothing really nice.
  • The sheet was very big and non-sticky so it could easily fall down.
  • It did not seem to really do the "mask job", I thought.
  • the sheet was very thin
Whether to get this again or not, i'm not sure.

wait till I finish them..... :)

make up in sweat-my thoughts

I noticed that in Malaysia, we, except those staying all day in air-cond room, need to bear with the hot climate the whole year.

I am a girl who can easily sweat and sweat a lot. I always do a full face make up even if I now I'm going to walk under the sun. However, I had never complain on my make up being smudge or what.

How did I do that??

I am no expert in make up, but after some thinking and observations, I guess it's due to the foundation.
I applied liquid foundation, follow by concealer, highlighter and loose powder. I had always been looking for good and natural way to apply the foundation as I believe that a good foundation keeps the make up all day long.

I never wipe my face but to press the tissue on sweating and oily area. This can prevent the make up falling/removing from the face.

If I am going to stay till late noon or night, I will bring along the compact powder and do the touch up. My limit is to stay till 3pm if I sweat. After 3pm, I will try to get the chance to touch up. If I really have no time for touching up, I will use oil blotter to absorb the oil on my face. But my face wil look bad compare to morning. Touch up is very important!!

my 3D fake nails

I got this with another fake nails during MJ sales last year.two for about rm20 i think. Don't remember the price but i am sure they are cheap or I wouldn't have bought them~

The good thing about this is that there is no glue needed. The nails are being stick with some kind of glue or double sided tape and make them sticky for a period of times.

I was not used to it and lost two of them for the first time i wore them.

After being cold-stored for a few months, I took them out and try again . I found the glue is still sticky and I felt better after experiencing it once.

I will definitely use them again during emergency or lazy days~

Just be careful when you are wearing fake nails. They can fall easily if you never treat them softly~

review: Shu Uemura Phyto Black-lift eye and lip contour cream

I received some samples of the Shu Uemura Phyto black-lift anti-wrinkle eye and lip contour cream last time.
I opened two sachets and put them in a container. Even though it's for eyes and lips, I used only for my eyes.

The eye cream and the container gave by a friend~

The product's description from Shu's website

The texture was very creamy but not sticky. Not smell and white in colour.
A little was already enough for two eyes.
dab around the eyes and smooth very lightly and follow with the massage as suggested.

This is a very good product as I found that it reduced the puffiness under my eyes.
It's also save a lot as a little product would do the job very well.

For more details about Shu Uemura's products, log on to : http://www.shuuemura.com.my

It is retailing RM180 for 5g. It's not cheap but depends on how you use it and if it works for you. I was so lucky got to try this~
Will consider to purchase the full size when I finished my current eye cream~
But RM180 for only 5g, I really need think carefully...

review : Design R series body care range

I bought this Design R series body care range last year when my sister was working in Cosway. Cosway is a direct sale company. More info here: http://www.cosway.com.my/

This body range was having a really great promotion that time and I really wanted to try it and asked my sister to get for me.She asked her colleague's opinion and the person said it smelled good. I wanted to know if the fragrance last but she did not get me the answer .. XD

What did I buy?

  • R series deodorant
  • R series body spray
  • R series body powder
  • R series Eau De parfume
  • R series cream parfume

The products are actually have nothing special care except for their sweet and nice smell. There are just the same as the body care range you can find in the market.

The smell was really good and made me feel like a women. ( I am quite a boyish girl~ :P) However, the fragrance did not stay long on me. Neither the body spary, Eau De parfume nor the cream parfume. This caused me to spay them more and wasted a lot of the products and at last, you will be using them up very quickly.

The Eau De parfume and the cream parfume are very handy. You can just bring them anywhere you like since they fixed the pouch easily, especially for the cream parfume. As the fragrance did not last and the container of Eau De parfume is quite heavy(glass), I rarely travel with it but the cream parfume.

Inside of the cream parfume

Box of the Eau De parfume and some info of it

Pros :
  • nice and sweet smell
  • affordable price
  • some products are travel friendly

Cons :
  • only available at Cosway
  • fragrance does not last
  • promotion varied every month
  • no special concern on body
Will I repurchase them?

definitely NO!!! Not even single item.
Why shall I spend money on something with no special concern and having no long-lasting fragrance? I would rather spend the money on The Body Shop, L'occitane, Palmolive....

These are just my thoughts,. If you do like the smell and the packing alot, just try it. Who knows if the fragrance last on you?? :)

* UPDATE :
I forgot about the lotion from this series too. Thrown when I took the pictures and totally forgot about it... :P
The lotion was moisturised, and smell good. The only thing I hated a lot about it was the formula of it. As for me, my hands / body became very wet after applying the lotion. IT meant it did not absorb fast and caused me a lot of troubles. I will never ever buy any skincare/ cosmetics from Cosway anymore!!!

my nails "pot grass "

Bear with my ugly works

review: YSL make up workshop part 1

Thanks to Miu from plusizekitten, I managed to register as early bird to attend he YSL make up workshop tru emmagem(http://www.emmagem.com) last Friday.

My session was at 3pm and I had paid to emmagem before. Since it's a make up workshop, I did not wear heavy but very light make up to the event.clever, huh? haha

I was so lucky because I met with the people from emmagem .One of them is the editor, and the other, sorry, I did not ask what's the position she posed. :P

Back to the workshop!

The YSL international make up artist was getting ready while the models was cleaning her face

First when we reached, we were seated and were requested to clean our face with their new products: 3 in 1make up removal which is water based. It removed my very light make up well, but needed more times and cotton wool for heavier make up.

Then, we apply eye cream, sunblock and moisturiser before the make up demonstration started.I guessed they were waiting for majorities to reach and that caused the workshop delayed for about 30 min.

products on the middle of each table
Everything started from foundation/make up base, of course. The YSL International Make-up Artist., Mr. Patrick Havegheer, used the Top Secrets(make up base) on the model's face. His touch was really light as he loved natural look and thus, that would be our topic today! I am not giving much explanation on the products used and why was it used as you can easily find it online. sorry~

Rebecca was giving an introduction and Mr. Patrick was waiting to be introduced
After Top Secrets, he applied the Perfect Touch(foundaion) with very little potion. Mr. Patrick mentioned as the weather in Mlaysia is hot, it is the best not to apply heavy make up. The make up will not be cakey when it rains or when we sweat. I always applied heavy make up as the model in magazines I read. His words really gave impact to me and I wanted to make myself natural starting from now!!

Coming after foundation, was the concealer and followed with YSL star product -- Radiant Touch~~ Mr. Patick applied the concealer/highlight whatever you wanna call it, under the model's eyes, nose(T-zone), above upper lip, and smile lines! He said that a bright and light base is more important than the colours. Thus, he was more concerned on the light and bright foundation rather than the heavy colours on eyes, cheeks and lips. Then, set your foundation with loose powder or compact powder on your choice.

That's all with foundation demo,We needed to try it ourselves now!!

The make up artists were around to help you. They served fastly and friendly!

Eyes and lips reviews are comind soon.

review: Pure & Mild Moisture Travel Kit for oily skin

I grabbed this set of travel size pure & mild skin care during Metrojaya sales at Mid Valley last year. It was very cheap and my boy and I decided to give it a try. Mine is for oily skin while his is for dry skin.As you can see, the normal price wa RM8.90 but we got it much lower than that!!

This is a travel size packet and comes with small bottles. There are 3 basic skin care : cleanser, toner, and moisturiser. Here are the pix of the ingredients respectively: (sorry for bad pox ,i was using hp for these.)
cleanser toner moisturiser

The cleanser did it job nicely. I felt clean after using it. The only thing I do not like about it was the smell. It smells like detergent which reminds me of the toilets...haha.

The toner, nothing much to say since I felt nothing about it....but the smell is better than the cleanser,at least not that strong.

The moisturiser, smells the best with a bit lemon fragrance inside, i think. it was non-greasy nor oily.absorbs quickly and does not leave my skin feel creamy or oily.

I did not see the special effect of this skin care set and even though they did not cause me any breakouts, I will not buy them againas there is nothing special about them.I would rather spend more on something that help to improve my skin.

review: Clarins Ultra Matte Rebalancing Lotion for oily skin

I have oily skin and always looking fro something that's good for oil control/absorb.
There came a chance and I bought the Clarins Ultra Matte Rebalancing Lotion for oily skin.

Let's look what the product claims:

Here are the ingredients :

This is a moisturiser applied after toner ans any serums. I tried it for more than a month now and I found that this lotion did control the oiliness of my face at first. However, I could hardly see any different after some times using it.

I guess this is because the oil on my face was controlled at the maximum level now and that's explained the less improvement after that. As oil is also important to balance the ph value of our face and to protect our face from being de-hydrated, there is no way we want to clean all the oil from the face, right?

Thus, I would say that this product did it job effectively and perfectly!!
